Agree. And i miss seeing the number of views and responses on the list screen. Progress.

I agree - it's a bit of a pain to navigate. Just seems rather "clunky" to me.

As well, I like to see a lot of posts so I can scan through the questions quickly. The default is set to 30 - I change it to 50 and each time I reply and go back or read a post and return to the list it resets to 30. Very annoying.

I also dislike the email notification default being set to 'on' when replying to a posting. EDIT: To add to this comment, I keep turning the setting off and it won't remember it.

Wanted to get my two cents on this one ... not only is it a little clunky, it's way more complicated than I need it to be for my taste. What I really love is I find it to be rather "unfriendly" when trying to use the site with my iPad. It's great from my Mac... still way more than I need or want. I tried to edit a post last night and the iPad told me you can't edit from this device... edit from a computer.

It seems odd to me ... an Apple device that doesn't play nice with it's own discussion site. No matter which browser I use on my iPad, I can not bring up the formatting text field. I can type in the text field, I just don't get all the formatting doo-dads.

I may be doing something wrong, but I could not get the keyboard to acknowledge that I was using a text field when I was using iCab last night. It would not accept input.

I'm getting the hang of it--I hope--but it isn't iPad friendly. And I'm a visual person so I like to visually scan the array of topics or posts and I don't like to "filter." I'm spending more time navigating and less time reading.

I agree with you on this and I am now typing on my MacBook so I can edit my many mistakes!!! But I miss the iPad "friendly" version of the old site already!

It's definitely not you! Or, rather, it's all of us!

I discovered that you can find a list of categories by using "Refine this list", but the list should be visible by default-- as it was in the old system!

Plus, the big search bar above the list is for posting a comment--yet it should be for searching through the list!!

The automatic pop ups next to an option, showing e.g., latest posts, are distracting and irritating.

And, given what folks are saying about automatic e-mailing of responses (or notifications thereof), that's problematic, too! I just turned off all my e-mail ones-- didn't see a choice there for daily summaries as there was in the old one!

Nope, a big thumbs down!

I'm not sure what you mean about the daily summaries but go to Your Stuff>Profile>Manage Email Notifications and you can select the specific notifications you want to delete. Maybe this is what you want to do????

😕

In the old world, you could opt to receive a daily compilation of posts in a given thread rather than EVERY SINGLE ONE!! For example, instead of receiving 100 individual messages on a very active thread, you'd receive just one at the end of the day. Unless I've missed something, that option is missing.

Does that clarify? It could be there and I've just overlooked it.

A different issue.

Oddly, when I go to my profile to see my recent posts, most are missing! It has a bunch from the old world, but only one or two from the new! Weird, eh?

One thing that is wonderfully improved are the controls for entering text in a message. Full featured font size and colors (use advanced editor control). It also is smart enough to recover text if there's been a glitch in posting.

I'm getting used to it and much, much appreciate the new look. it's fresh and inviting. I just hope that they overhaul the Mac OS and the iOS so that they look clean, modern, & colorful, instead of 19th century industrial grey with, in the case of the iPad and iPhone, mechanicial date pickers!
