Ordinarily, I'm a big fan of Apple eye candy. However, I find I don't care for the "conversation bubble" format of the individual topics. I think it's distracting and something of a waste of space. I preferred the cleaner, simpler layout of the old version.

It does seem a little hokey, but it's a minor detail. Nevertheless, I would like to see an option to either have it or not have it. Actually the only thing I do not like is the little curled appendage on the bubble. This is just styled incorrectly IMO, and should be a simple V-shaped spike pointing directly left. As it is it looks like a hangnail, or something...and I want to clip it off.

Agreed in disliking the bubble layout. It also seems to harken back to the days of Aqua and early Mac OS X, which Apple has been moving away from, so that seems weird.

It also seems that as you get a lot of nested replies, the bubble layout gets too narrow too fast. I re-read a couple of longish threads, and find them currently very difficult to read while they were okay in the old layout.
