why does 'wine' run and why does it slow my iMac to a crawl

If Wine is running, then you are running a port of Windows software that uses Wine in some way...


This includes Wineskin ports, and Cider ports... things run in Crossover, PlayOnMac, WineBottler, and more... if you have some processes running, its coming from some program your running or have run.... since we don't know everything you have installed or running, we cannot tell you exactly which program is doing it.
