Is there a download or an app that I need? My printer is set for wireless printing, but my ipad is apparently not finding the printer, so I suppose I need to download AirPrint. Where is it? On the apple site, under features, it tells me all about it, but it fails to tell me how to get it. Any suggestions?

Open a email and click the share button ( the arrow) you will see the option to print.
What is your printer? Is it on the AirPrint compatible list?
What make and model is your wireless printer? As currently its on selected HP printers, the e- models.
If you don't have a HP e-printer then you may have to download an airprint activator either the free one or the paid one.
Thanks for all the help people... argh, it's a Canon PIXMA MX870... where would I find such an airprint activator?

Both of the above is Mac software.
The Activator hacks just allow printing to a printer as long as your Mac or PC is switched on.
Look at Print n Share in the App Store. It may print directly to your Canon. Contact Eurosmartz support and check.

Before AirPrint was enabled on the iOS devices I use eprint which is now £1.79 I paid around £3 for it when it first came out and it was just iPod/iPhone and not universal http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/eprint/id304221132?mt=8
If you don't have one of the AirPrint enabled printers, download Printopia from their website (purchase) and install it on your Mac. It will make any printer enabled on your Mac to be available on your network (as long as Mac is online to function as a print server). It works great for me accessing my HP Color LaserWriter 2600n on the local network.
Printopia requires your Mac to be switched on to work. Print n Share will also print to any printer via your Mac or PC but will also print directly to most wireless printers without your computer, and is considerably cheaper.
For my ipad 2, Printopia worked just fine (thanks Dave Marsh). I'm not positive if I am going to keep the ipad 2 yet, so I only downloaded the Printopia demo and now have 7 days to decide before the trial is up. I also took a look at Print N Share. In 7 days, if I decided to keep the ipad 2, then I'll give the Print N Share a shot and if it works, I'll go with it because like igmackenzie said, it's much cheaper. Thanks for all your advice.
