Problem with uploaded video

I have a problem with an uploaded video. The circumstances:

a) a live music video with some small musical and vocal clams.. in both .MOV and.M4V format - Mac video formats

b) I created a Garageband project and imported the .M4V movie in, and created a couple extra real instrument audio tracks and basically fixed the audio clams in the video soundtrack. SHARED the entire project from Garageband and saved an .MOV with a modified soundtrack.

c) the modified .MOV sounds absolutely fine - with the changes - when viewed and listened to with QuickTime v.10.0 on my iMac.

d) I uploaded the .MOV to a VIMEO account

e) when I watch/listen to the Vimeo version online, the audio track has reverted to pre-Garageband state !! I've done this TWICE now - verified the audio on my system with QuickTime, deleted the Vimeo copy, re-uploaded, STILL the audio is as if I never did the Garageband fixes.

Are there multiple versions of audio available on a video after being massaged with GB?

Any advice will be appreciated. Going to post this to the QuickTime forum and, if I can find a place, to a Vimeo support forum.

thanks
