Run a virus scanner? There is a free one called ClamXAV for Mac which I personally use.
What makes you think you have some? None really exists that run on Mac OS.
Well, there aren't many; but there are a few ... usually not as harmful as PC stuff. I run the same one that twoplanker recommended because it is built into Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner. I think there is also one called MacScan which is supposed to be a little more extensive. Unless you've been downloading torrents, you probably don't have anything though.
Sophos is a good AV that I use, and I'm finding more and more (at work) there are more Mac viruses starting to appear.
Care to elaborate?
A Mac virus would make the headlines and I would have heard about it.
cheers 🙂
Awhile back there was a virus in copies of iWork downloaded from a bit torrent site. There are also viruses that harm PCs but do very little to a Mac ... but are still present. It is also possible to download something that uses your address book to send spoof email. Obviously PC viruses that are executable files won't run on a Mac unless you are also running Windows. However, there are some security issues. Otherwise Apple would not continually issue security updates. Like I said, it's not widespread; but it does exist.
