QuickTime...Error #2093

I've been unable to access my iTunes on my main computer and I keep getting the message "QuickTime failed to initialize. Error #2093. Please make sure QuickTime is properly installed on this computer". I have always been able to log-on to my iTunes until recently but don't know what is happening now. Can anyone tell me what's going on? And what can I do to fix this? (It's telling me to "Uninstall iTunes, then re-install iTunes again...if I do this will I lose all my music 😟 )

Quickly doublechecking something, gus ... is that a #2093 or a #2096? (The #2096 when launching iTunes has been much more common in recent times, and usually indicates something different from the #2093.)

If it's a #2093 when launching iTunes, could you let us know if your QuickTime Player is currently launching, please? If not, what error message do you get from your QuickTime Player?

Just wanted to let others know that I too was having problems with accessing my iTunes/Quicktime with that message "Quicktime failed to initialize. Error #2093". After searching for a solution I following the steps in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925 article and found that IT WORKED. My iTunes is now running smoothly with all my previous music still there. Hope this will work for whoever is having the same problem. Good luck!! 🙂
