How can you know if a text message you sent was blocked

I have an IPhone 4 and I would like to know if I sent a text message to someone how will I know if they received it and if they may have blocked me.

Hi MKohn, that is a great question. However there isn't a way to know this. The only way you will know if your message has not reached its intended recipeint is if the message failed to send, in which case you would see a while exclamation mark in a red circle on the Messages icon.


The best confirmation would be to contact the person you are sending your message to and ask if they have actually recieved it or not.

Some carriers have a service to block texts and calls. Depending on the carrier, you may or may not know. WIth AT&T's service, it returns that the destination is not accepting calls/texts.


There are also jailbroken SMS that provide blocking functionality, but you'll never know if it was delivered or not as it just discards those before it gets to the app.
