Atv 1 swiss itunes store missing menu's by categorie movie

Hello

Since some month we can rent or buy movies from the itunes store in Switzerland. On my Atv Gen.1 it allows me to see, rent and buy movies directly from Atv. But I can't search or go to itunes store, because it miss some menus under chapter movie. It shows me only

- My movies (Meine Filme)

- Trailer

Under chapter Music I have following menus

- My music (Meine Musik)

- Top-Music

- Genres

- Search (Suchen)

Why chapter movie don't shows me menus

- Top-Movie

- Search

In this way I can't search for my content which I wanna rent or buy. I have to go over iTunes. There I can search and rent a movie, but I have first to download completely the movie and then sync to Atv. This takes to much time.

PS: Latest version (3.0.2) from Atv is installed.

Apple TV, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Yes, what you say is true !

I have both, an apple TV v1 and an apple TV v2 with Swiss iTunes account and it's the same by me. On v2 categories are here but on v1 we only see that movies are presents in the upper jackets bar but no category under the movies section. This is really missing that movies features can be used directly with the apple TV v1.

I don't know if the same problem happen with other counrty's stores between v1 and v2 ?

What's sure is that the choice to make one big store for Switzerland with the all differents languages mixed up in it was not a good idea ! Basically you are in a German store with a little French section and a more little Italian section ! No proper ordering for French or Italian because the main section is only with German movies. No promotion with 1.50 CHF week movie in other languages than German. Really confusing to find the good one when the movie has the same title in the three languages, you may rent/buy the wrong one if you not attentive...

I think really that separated store for each language where more efficient, and the problem will be almost bigger with TV shows and books when they will arrive.

When you see the choice in the original French, German or Italian store, this were glad that we could access this one in place our Swiss-cheap-mixed-store ! Other solution, put multilingual version for all the medias available (yes we can dream) ;-)

P.S: Couln'd we have a search option for all the medias kind under computer section and not only for music ?

Hi!

Unfortunately this seems to be a common problem...

I read some other discussions in different fora and the Australian as well as the Swiss have the problem with the missing movie menues.

Is it really true that no one from Apple can help here?? Or at least (try to) reproduce the problem??

I don´t wan´t to buy a new Apple TV 2nd Gen.

My Setup: Apple TV 1st Gen, Swiss iTunes Account, latest versions of Apple TV and iTunes.

Set back Apple TV, re-synced via iTunes -> still the problem with missing Movie menues... 😢

If anyone from the support team reads that: please reply!
