It used to be that Apple employees such as MadisonP were identified by a silver Apple logo under their alias in posts and the words "Apple employee" in their profile. ...Is the current lack of those identifiers because:

I think we can rule that one out. All the former silver apples I know of, including two who I know are still working for Apple, are showing as regular members now (with the exception of Jason who's gone purple Apple).

That missing graphic above identifies an Apple employee who is not involved in Apple Support Communities in any official capacity.
This is something that was lost in the transition.
