Keyboard not working

My keyboard has been stopping for a while now, but now it's stopping about every 10 minutes and the only way to get it working again is to unplug it (USB), and replug it. There was recently an upgrad and that's when it really started getting bad.

Has anyone had this problem and if they did how did they fix it?

I tried a different user account and that didn't work.

I emptied the cookies and cache and that didn't work. I didn't think it would.

I guess the only thing left is to try a different or new keyboard.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Well, I thought I had this problem licked....nope.

I started by taking your suggestion of going into Safe Mode. I unplugged all the USB's (3 of time) and started to put them back in one at a time. I would put one in and restart my computer and wait about 15 minutes. If everything was fine after that I would plug in another USB. When I got to the third one which is my Epson printer, the problem started again. So naturally I thought it was my printer.

I went to the Epson website and downloaded their latest drivers and all last night there was no problem with my keyboard. It worked great. I thought the problem was fixed.

When I tried my computer this morning, the same problem started again. Frustration.

So, I figured it was my printer again and I just unplugged it and rebooted and started to use my computer. After about 5 minutes the keyboard stopped working.

I haven't tried the install DVD. If I do that do I have to install all my programs again and reinstall the latest OS and all my programs?

If that's the case I don't think I want to do that.

I called a local Apple store and asked about their return policy if I buy a new keyboard and they said 14 days for a refund. So if the DVD install isn't easy I'll try a new keyboard.

Thanks
