Watching iTunes US content abroad

I live in the US and am going to Europe on vacation.

If I rent or purchase a movie or TV show while in the US from iTunes US (before I leave for vacation), can I watch the content later when I get to Europe?

Thanks

Once it's bought, the file is downloaded; no further communication with the server is necessary. The file is yours, you can watch it whenever and wherever you like, just as you could with a DVD. I'm not certain how renting works, but I suspect it's the same but with a time limit.

In fact, come to think of it, you can even buy stuff from the US store when you're in Europe, and it will still work.
