Yahoo/Verizon Nightmare
First the details...OSX10.3.9, Apple Mail v1.3.11, Safari 1.3.1 v312.3.3, Explorer "5.2.3 for Mac".
And so the nightmare begins by an "upgrade" to Verizon Online's new mail program. The upgrade is a new Verizon Yahoo mail program that was stated to be Mac compatible. What a crock of crow! I have spent 8, (yes that's E-I-G-H-T) hours on the phone with various tech help reps. The last one switched me over to an Apple representative who could probably resolve my problem for 50$. That would be like paying a 50$ penalty for "upgrading" to this bulls@#! program. Do I sound bitter 🙂 ?
Now I can only receive mail in Apple Mail. I've sent test mails to myself and my wife's email address. If I send out to my own email address using apple mail, it won't come in through Apple mail, but it will be in my Verizon Yahoo mailbox. If I send out through Apple Mail to my wife's address, the same thing happens... no Apple Mail but it does appear in her Verizon Online Netmail account.
Until this "upgrade" everything worked fine with Apple Mail and Verizon DSL. Now Apple Mail is useless for my wife. She neither receives nor can send mail through this program.
