I cannot empty my 'trash' ... it comes up with ... "Unable to Move Message ... The message could not be moved to the mailbox Trash"
I went into Settings > Mail > 'my account' > advanced > deleted mailbox > Trash (On My iPhone) ... it appears to delete a few items only ... I may try to individually delete 30 items and only 4 go ? help please ...

try to change it to settings > mail > account > advanced > deleted mailbox > to trash on the server
After clicking on account, there is no advanced option to click.
I have the same problem and there is no advanced option. Was this removed in the upgrade to ios 5? I have been chasing a solution to this and the fact I have various duplicate emails appearing in my work account for days now! It seems like I may have to delete my account and re-install. This appears to be a common problem, where is Apple's fix for it?
How do I restart my account after I have turned it off?
