Click on the Desktop and press COMMAND-J. Set your desired options then close the window.
Hope this help!
And then you click Arrange by: None
It is already set to none as I'd like to put the folders where I want. But still, after restart the imac puts them all on the right side of the desktop. I'm getting tired to put them back where I want and the imac puts them back to the right 😟
try throwing away your desktop preference files. Go to your home folder > Library folder > Preferences folder and find any files that start with com.apple.desktop.xxx. Throw them away. Reboot your machine and see if that works.
I did what you said and haven't had the issue since. Thx.
you are very welcome 🙂
hi, since upgrading to Lion sometimes I have to rearrange myself ) desktop icons (because after restart all icons jump to the right corner of the screen), is there any cure to that ?
I tried things above, it doesn't help me. For instance I don't have these com.apple.desktop.xxx files.
