Hi everyone. I am interested in buying a Samsung Galaxy Ace (Android 2.2 Froyo) but I dont have any idea if its Mac-compatible. I tried searching the net for answers but can seem to find anything so far...

Pretty sweet mobile. Just bought it, but I think not. So far I can't connect mine to my Macbook. But it's still an great choice.
Yes it is, we are using it ourselves here with FoneSync for Android, the sync software we have developed for Mac and Android devices.

I downloaded fonesync, but whatever I do, it will not see my samsung. It's connected via USB and Bluetooth. What am I doing wrong????
Hi, which FoneSync do you use? There is one for the Samsung phones with a BADA system and one for the Samsung phones with Android OS. You need the one for Android, which you can get at the Android Market. The easiest way for an answer, btw, is to contact the support of nova media at sync@novamedia.de

Thnx for the fast reply. I'm using a free fonesync to see if it will work. I don't want to pay for an app that doesn't work. I'll try and contact Nova media...
I have the same question re: the Samsung Galaxy S II. I'm thinking of buying one but would want it to synch with my ICal, Address book and email on my MacBook Pro. I'd like to know from anyone if this is doable now and how.

DavidGoodnight, I hope FoneSync for Android by Nova Media is the one you are looking for. Their site says you just search for the app in the Android marketplace, install in your device and it wil just automatically download into your mac after syncing. I haven't tried it myself because I have given up on buying the Samsung Ace because of compatibility issues but based on feedbacks from other users in this forum, this is the app you are looking for.

the best way is to use the Google sync services. FoneSync for Android is not available any more.
You can try SyncMate but in general a direct sync between a Mac and an Android device turns out to be unreliable and shaky for many devices.
For e-mails, just use the built-in e-mail software on your android device to access your e-mail providers. Since this is a standard it should not be any problem. You can not sync e-mails from your Mac to the Android device as of my knowledge.
I have took a look, and the best opnion now is the Google Sync Option, even I am not confortable with all this "Google power".
