Tap on the Videos App icon. They will be in there.
Easy how to watch rented movie on an iPad, easy easy easy
Steps.
Step 1 rent it hd or sd in iTunes, you need wifi and a spare 2 or 3 gigs.
Step 2 it's on your iPad in Movies app not your iPod ok. It's a apple app called movies and looks like a Hollywood
Directors and action clip board ( icon logo for app)
Step 3 enjoy press play watch movie and if you have apple tv click the arrow select apple tv and your movie is on your home tv from your iPad handy if you travelled then got home and wanted to watch it again or sometimes the .99 cent sd movies are not .99 cents on apple tv. Enjoy, the worries are over :)

Demo is right, just sounds confusing if you went to iPod. Don't go to iPod. Rentals are not in the iPod section of an iPad.
I've rented a movie and it was downloaded, found it in my videos but when I go to play it I get a message that says that the movie cant be loaded
I have the same problem. I see the downloads on my iPad from the iTunes menu on my computer - but the fiules are not in the video app, TV Shows or Movies... Where hte heck are they? And I actualy see the space they use in my Video folder (from the settings menu) 46,1 GB! but I can't see or play them...
Did what you say... but not working... I have 46 GB of videos of which I can only access a handful... can't see the rest although I see them on the iPad through the iTunes menu on the computer while my pad is connected... What am I not getting?
I have rented 2 movies and bought 1... They r in my video icon but the info pops up but I can't play them... The box is blank?? W/o the option to play!!! Help!!!!!
Thanks for the tip. I have found my movie in the Video App. Spent a lot of time searching for it before I came here. Thanks again, Demo.
I had the same issue, took me a long time but I found a reference that says to do the following: Connect your ipad to your computer. Click on your device in left column (choose your ipad). BEFORE you hit synch, go to the top of the navigation and click on Movies. Make sure all the boxes (there should be two) are checked to "synch" movies. I kept synching and synching and no wonder my movies never made it to my ipad. The boxes were not checked. Then hit apply so the settings stick. I think I did that under summary on the same navigation line. THEN, go ahead and synch. I'm in the middle of trying this now. Hopefully it'll work!
That did it! When you then click on the videos app, (looks like the black / white director's flip board) you will see at the top two options to tap: music videos, and movies. Tap movies and my 3 movies are in there. Just in time for a long flight tomorrow AM!
I have tried that and all that shows up in the video app is a music video I bought...no movie. I tried twice to download this movie and both times it has disappeared! Don't know what to do! I can pre view the movie, but it disappears when I try to rent it.
Are both the boxes checked on the horizontal navigation menu (click movies and you'll see the boxes to check). That's what was missing in my case. I checked the boxes, made sure the actual movies I wanted to synch were checked, then I synched.
I've just had a similar problem on my iPhone 4Gs - I've downloaded a movie from iTunes but it's nowhere to be found. I've gone round and round in circles looking under the Videos app and the iTunes app under 'Purchased' and 'Downloads'. I definitely completed the download because I was watching it download (in the past, one disappeared and I presumed it didn't download properly so I was watching this one carefully) - but now it's gone. I even searched under 'Spotlight' for the name of the movie and it's not there.
Ah ha - just found a message from King Penguin on a different thread who mentioned age restrictions for videos - and I've just changed this to allow 15s and the movie has appeared 😀 For reference, to change this seeting, it's under Settings > General > Restrictions > Films
i figured it out, i had the exact problem with mine, connect your device and go on itunes on your computer and on the left side there will an option under "music" called "movies". click on it and click and drag the video you want to your device icon labled under "devices".
it will dtart loading and will now download onto you device.
to view your movies, on the main screen somewhere ther will be a "videos" app, they will be in there
enjoy!!!
I did the 2nd post. And there it is waiting to be watched. Thanks!
I almost got panic. Hehehe..
