Can Tiger be installed onto another disk attached to an intel based mac? How?

I have an imac which is running Snow Leopard and I cannot use some favorite apps on it so I would like to use Tiger on an external disk that I have but cannot find a way in which the installer will allow me to install it onto another disk.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

You can't boot a Mac OS X version from an external drive that you wouldn't be able to boot that Mac from on an internal drive. For an Intel Mac, only the computer's original disks(or the Mac OS X Server 10.4.7 Universal Binary if newer than the computer) even have a possibility of containing a bootable Tiger system. If the computer shipped with Mac OS X 10.5 or newer, nothing will work.
