Jun 1, 2012 10:47 AM in response to zoonredby Sponson1,So why is it that on this page http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4437 it says itouch gen 2 with ios 4.3 or higher is needed for air play. This tells me gen 2 should be capable of being upgraded to 4.3.

Jun 1, 2012 7:49 PM in response to vazandrewby Sponson1,Thanks for the reply, but I have no idea what you mean. My situation - I would like to send music from my itouch gen 2 to apple tv, but from what I have read it seems I have to have at least ios 4.3, and 4.3 is not compatible with gen 2. Is there any hope for my using my itouch for apple tv? Thanks.

Jun 1, 2012 8:12 PM in response to Sponson1by vazandrew,As I said that is not true. You can use airplay with music and videos stored on your iPod as well as Youtube using 4.2.1. You just need 4.3 to airplay from a compatible 3rd-party app (i.e. Vevo, IMDB) or website.
If you are not seeing the airplay logo, make sure it is enabled on your Apple TV and that both devices are on the same network. Verify you are on 4.2.1
If you've done that and still nothing then something on your network is causing an issue.

Jun 4, 2012 4:19 PM in response to ezpplby Mizsweetness1990,That's how they get more money out of our pockets..
I'm a pc user and will never turn to an mac computer
the only Apple production I'm using is the Ipod only for music. I won't ever buy anything from apple other than an Ipod.

Technology evolves, doesn't mean your device(s) stop working and no one is forcing you to upgrade

Jun 6, 2012 4:07 PM in response to igglepiggle99by vazandrew,Apparently millions disagree with you. I'd rather have something that is usable. Anyway, if you don't like it no need to be on an Apple forum
