Sep 1, 2012 4:08 AM in response to vazandrewby pymus,What do u mean Vazandrew, Ezppl is right, go and get PII or PIII window system run series of window OS on it, it will still work even their mobile smart phones now that new OS is out and Window mobile OS 7 too you can still install it on any of their machines and mobile. But Apple everything is so difficult to get, one can not get apps compatible with the device easily without looking for a thirdparty installer. I have 2g ipod touch i cant meetup with current thread of new apps that is coming out, all apps am trying to download are not compatible any more so throw away my device because the new iOS what gives thet assurance that those new device are not going to be obsolate if another iOS comes out in future with so much expensive in price. In fact they have lost. Now it Andriod is out and had so much to offer with lot of free apps, one will left with no choice men.

Sep 1, 2012 1:50 PM in response to pymusby vazandrew,You cannot compare a computer system to mobile, and the phones will only be able to update to a certain point.
The iPod Touch 2G simply does not have the processing power to run the new OS, bottom line. It still works the same it did when you bought it and no one is forcing you to throw it away. If you want new features then yes you need to upgrade, that's how it has always been. This does not just apply to Apple.
Android phones are most certainly not all created equal in terms of updates.

Sep 1, 2012 2:29 PM in response to vazandrewby lllaass,I agree, my 4 MHz 286 with 64 kb of memory will not run Windows 7, amd may OSs before that.

Sep 3, 2012 5:25 AM in response to vazandrewby pymus,No i disagree with you @Vazandrew, go and get a old window mobile phone, palm top and others, try and run the new window OS which can run on a PC and as well run it on your mobile it surely installed that's what am telling you. On Android you can upgrade to a new version and run some latest apps but there can only be little difference possiblely because the new hardware put in place at least i can run Andriod OS my PC and download some apps i needed but in Apple case everything is restricted, get stock, make your old device pretty useless, they can as well, as they release the latest iOS develop another one which will be Lite version so low processing device can run on it and be able to get latest apps too even if the Lite version of iOS will be charge for one will know...
I even tried to install a craked iOS whited00r only to find out there are 2 type of ipod touch MC & MB and it can only work with MB model type and i hard MC type.
I want to get Modern Combat 3 on my iTouch but it won't run on iOS 4.2.1 2g...you see!

Sep 3, 2012 6:08 AM in response to zoonredby ezppl,I just wanted to sync some **** text files across some devices (Calendar, Address Book, etc.). I don't care to play video games on a device with no haptic feedback. I play games on proper games hardware.
My issue is that all I wanted from Apple was a means of performing this simple sync function - I understand that the graphics chipset is not up to it for displaying high-end 3D. I don't care. I just want to be able to sync some text files and it's a joke that Apple have killed my product by not supporting it in their latest OS updates for iOS and for desktops. So they try to make me continue bloating my Apple defunct hardware product collection.
It's simply bad OS design and bad strategy on Apple's part. Having been a long-term (25 years?) Apple user I now use non-Apple hardware.
FAIL.

Sep 3, 2012 6:41 AM in response to pymusby vazandrew, not all Android devices are updated. It's one thing to install and another for a smooth experience.
Your iPod doesn't even have the capability to process MC3, regardless of the IOS

Sep 3, 2012 6:43 AM in response to ezpplby vazandrew,iCloud is built into the OS, which requires capabilities that your device doesn't posses.

Sep 3, 2012 7:31 AM in response to vazandrewby pymus,I don't care about the MC3...all am saying is that a program can come in another version which called Lite that will enable it to run on a minimum capacity of a device, it doesn't mean all features will work but it will bring up the device up-to-date...so latest apps can work on the device!...sometime if i want to install app from iTunes it won't tell anything MC3 it will only tells me to upgrade to iOS 4.3 or latest version which mean i might not even need to change from one OS to another just ordinary update some set of files from the server we do.
like what Ezppl says it's simply bad OS design and bad strategy. Failed!!!

Sep 3, 2012 7:57 AM in response to vazandrewby ezppl,My device still has the capability to store tiny text files. And play MP3s. And show JPEGs. And show movies. Nothing has changed. It can't run the Unreal 4 engine - I accept that. I don't care. But it now means I cannot synch this basic stuff.

Sep 3, 2012 7:55 AM in response to vazandrewby ezppl,I don't understand what the big capability is that iCloud needs that the .Mac service had? It's basic stuff - .Mac V2.0. I don't subscribe to this idea at all. iCloud doesn't depend on fast processors or screen resolutions or 3D capabilities...

Sep 3, 2012 8:32 AM in response to ezpplby pymus,lolz....i dont understand too, i think that should just subjected seed at the rate of download or accessing the stuff you ones need, in fact i can't even install whatapp on my iTouch all i get is iOS error message....this is so funny!....while it is just free download and easy installation on Andriod, BB even Nokia. Now latest iPhone 4g is out 5g is around the conner maybe all 3g devices will soon be obsolate too...
