Folks, here's the sad truth, according to Engadget:
But whatever. I am finally over my Flash of "brilliance" and resigned to just skip over the web sites that require Flash, and wait till I am at my iMac or PC to do those that are really necessary.
Instead of being "resigned to just skip over the web sites that require Flash" we should all be holding these web site designers's feet to the fire and demand that they support iOS. We should send them an email requesting they make their web site iOS friendly and remind them that there are now over 200 million of us using iOS and do they really want to ignore that many potential customers?
This app got released a few days ago - I tried it for a few flash based websites and it worked well. Can't promise it covers all flash elements but it is a step in the right direction... and only 69p :

Thank you! I will try it...
I've never encountered a site that uses Flash to play videos and doesn't have an iOS app available that doesn't use Flash.
It's Apple's policy not to support inferior formats like Flash (buggy, slow), BluRay (useless in today's internet era & bad H/264 quality, expensive in a recession), and USB 3.0 (worse than Thunderbolt) even if it is common.
I don't know what part of the world do u stay in . But I am sure that u r no less than a noob . We r customer and iPad 2 is the product we consume . The problem here is the product's incompatibility of running the videos . All we need is that we can play the videos without any problem ... See it's so simple . Now don't ask me to teach u economics ...."."'. Lol ..
I'm no less than an noob? I'm an admin of a Mac OS X Server and a Minecraft server.
And you probably didn't know that Apple existed until 2002 since you don't know about their policy of using the best standards possible. They would NEVER use Flash on iOS since it is not a good format.
Now don't ask me to teach u economics ...
Here's an economics lesson... there's really no tablet market, there's only an iPad market as iPads represent 80-90% of all tablets sold (not shipped). "LOL"
Actually, Señor I-am-an-intellectual-from-Delhi, it is the pseudo-intelligent who resort to name calling when real intelligence is required.
However, it really is a noob who is unaware that Apple has never given a rat's assets when it comes to good technology vs what the masses demand. Do a little research about Apple's technology decisions through the years; when they gave up on all the hodgepodge of ports and only offered Macs with USB and FireWire, when they got rid of floppy drives and only built Macs with optical drives, and just recently when they gave up optical disks and are building Macs without optical drives and only offer software by download. Folks screamed and hollered and Apple kept building products the way that they believed that products should be built. In spite of constant prediction of the demise of Apple, it is now the second most valuable company on the planet. Study that topsy turvey economics!
Seriously, come on. They are your honest opinions?
I don't like/use flash regular but.....

Someone will have, and I expect they'll be back with more than one example pretty soon.

I'm sure anybody could say this about any proprietary format. Maybe even one made by Apple.
BluRay (useless in today's internet era & bad H/264 quality, expensive in a recession)
Whhhaaattt? I love my Mac but yearn to be able to play a movie in that quality on it. If you want brilliant quality look at 1080p on good TV delivered on BR. Have you actually done this yet?
As for today's internet era, I'm in suburb of a western country. My internet speed is a moderately reliable 1.7MB, capped at 30GB/month. I'm not streaming anything useful.
and USB 3.0 (worse than Thunderbolt) even if it is common.
Firewire was better than USB but it didn't get that far did it?
Betamax was better than VHS, look what happened there!

It became the worldwide standard in the broadcast industry and is still in use by many organizations.
I came to the the community looking for help for this exact problem. I was hoping that there was a way or a reliable app to view Flash on my iPad. I haven't just hopped on the Apple bandwagon. I've had Macs as long as I've had home computers and laptops. As soon as iPods came out I had one and same as the iPhone and the first iPad. I don't mind not being able to view Flash on my iPhone and it did get on my nerves with the iPad 1. But now I'm getting really ****** off. I don't give a rat's *** as to what people think is better, HTML5 or Flash. I'm just getting sick of going to websites and being told that what I'm trying to view isn't available on a device I paid a lot of money for. I don't feel like having to drag out my laptop when it's in a different room or even worse when I'm somewhere with my iPad and my MacBookPro is at home.
What I'm really angry at now is that I'm taking online college courses that use Flash so I can't use my iPad for them. It's so much easier to carry this to a library to view that week's class then have instant access to the research material than to haul my laptop downtown, especially on work days since I don't have don't have an office and have to carry all my **** with me from client to client. The iPad has been great for work and when I get home I can sync everything to the laptop. So I do love and would never switch to any other tablet.
But please give us Flash. There are times even working with clients I may have to look up info for some resources and we're blocked by Flash. I honestly don't believe the people that say they've never encountered a Flash site.
And I can't believe a simple question that started in April is still active and has gone on for thirteen pages. Get over it. Can't you just acknowledge that while you think HTML5 is superior to Flash, Flash is still very prevalent and people expect it and since iPads are the best selling tablets and a lot of people that buy them have no previous experience with Apple Adobe and Apple should try to make nice and find a solution.
Just my two cents and 500 dollars.
We are not Apple, just Apple users and as such can't 'give you flash', but that doesn't help you. Until Adobe publish a version of Flash that runs on an iPad Apple can't give it to anyone, and even if Adobe do make it available Apple will still have to approve it (neither has happened yet)
If you must have flash then your only recourse is a different tablet, sorry 😟
For the 20th time probably in this thread. There is no Flash for the iPad. And Apple did not cause that. Flash is an Adobe product. They own it. They cannot make it for iOS. They tried. It did not work. It does not work for Android either. Adobe gave up on making Flash for iOS a couple of years ago. For a college educated person, please inform yourself better. Apple and Steve Jobs have nothing to do with this. It is all on Adobe. If Flash worked on a mobile OS with mobile chips and mobile power consumption, we would have it!
Oh, I know this isn't about Flash I'm also ****** about the whole printing thing. I've been able to find apps that allow me to print with printer not just the really small list of printers that Apple has. I just have to wonder what kind of conspiracy this is. I don't want an HP printer. I had one before and had nothing but problems and it went through ink faster than any printer I had before. I have a Kodak now. It was cheap but it's super reliable, the ink is the cheapest I've ever seen, and the print quality on photos is really quite amazing. Yay for third party apps that allow me tp do what Apple doesn't although it doesn't work on all Apps but hey it's better than what I had.
