I seem to remember something about bumping to share applications.

There is an app called "Bump" which essentially, you can transfer a photo or other files by "bumping" the two devices together, however, you cannot transfer an app.
Apps cannot be "shared" or in effect stolen.
All apps - all paid and free apps included DRM protection which is tied or linked to the iTunes account used to purchase/download the app with which for preventing the sharing or theft of paid apps.
There is no device limit for the number of iPod Touches, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. Apps can be installed on multiple devices in the same household and that use the same iTunes account, but can't be shared randomly.
