How to fix shift key?

I was trying to clean my keyboard and so I took out the shift key but couldn't put it back on properly.

It has this metal hatch at the back which I tried to attach to the keyboard and after that I'd press on it but it doesn't work.

Also the white plastic thingy underneath the key looks kind of weird..

Help please!

My parents are going to kill me 😟
