I have imported all my clips, and placed them on the timeline. But when I play it back it freezes the visual, but carries on playing the audio. Please HELP!!!!

What are the properties of the source footage?
What are the sequence settings of your sequence?
Does your timeline indicate it needs rendering?
Have you rendered the footage?

Make sure the clips you're using are in a format that FCP works with natively. Do not use non-native clips like H.264 or MPEG-4 ... those types need to be converted prior to importing.

The clips are a .mov files, I've been editing on Final Cut Pro 7 for a while now but this is the first time its started buffering like this
The rendering isnt the problem, ive rendered it but it still buffers when i play it back. I'm not sure about the sequence settings they've never changed since i started editing before, ive been editing for a while now on Final Cut Pro 7 and its never had this problem until now
We really need the questions MTD asked to be answered. ".mov" only tell sus it's a movie file, it does not tell us anything about where the files came from. You sequence setting can change for many reasons, all of them user errors.
I've been editing in FCP for like ten years and weird stuff ahppens all the time.
