Do I need anti-virus program for my iPad 2?
iPad 2
iPad 2 does not require anti-virus as there are no known viruses for the iOS Operating System.
No. There are no viruses for the iPad and therefore no anti-virus programs.
The iPad is not like a Windows PC that can catch viruses just by using it.
There IS antivirus software for IOS and these devices CAN be targeted by malware.
In another thread someone is saying that iPad has no Viruses. If Facebook is showing signs of a virus then FB has the problem not iPad.
What a laugh!!!!
That's like Microsoft saying their computers don't have viruses. It's all that **** software out there that has the virus problems.
GMAB
The programs cannot run in the background and scan for anything.
You have to manually run it and it will only scan email attachments for windows virus, since none exist for iOS.
Total waste of time and money.
Facebook isn't showing any signs of a virus. What people are experiencing is due to a bug in either the Facebook servers or Facebook App. This problem was apparently introduced in the recent upgrade to the Facebook servers.

I disagree , as I havea Trojan horse on my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4S. I got rid of it on my PC but seeing that my IPad and phone are not supposed to get them, and now have them, how do I get rid of them on the 2 devices?
Do you now? How do you know?
As posted in your other question, what leads you to believe this?
Stedman
Does it protect e-mail account associated with IPad also? And if you are searching something on web? Those are my big concerns.
