My contacts did not upload from my earthlink account when I synched it from macbook to i phone

Are your Earthlink online contacts available in the Address Book on your Mac and if so, do you have Sync Contacts with the Address Book selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes?
No, I haven't done that. If I do and re-synch will that work? Thanks for your assistance!

I don't believe there is any other way to get your Earthlink online contacts available on your iPhone. There is an option to sync Google and Yahoo online contacts under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, not with Earthlink. Transferring the email account settings for your Earthlink email account from your Mac to your iPhone via the iTunes sync/transfer process does just that - transfers the email account settings only from your computer to the iPhone's Mail app.
If you use the Address Book on your Mac - it includes contacts, select it under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes. If your iPhone includes any contacts that were manually entered and the Address Book on your Mac includes contacts, you will be provided a merge prompt with the first sync for this data, which you want to select.
