I have a few email on my verizon iPhone 3 dated 12/31/69. I cannot delete them. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it a virus?

who provides your email? Apple, company exchange, AOL, GMail or something else?
that email is corrupt and should be deleted from your email providers server.
The mail app needs to be forced quit. Best bet is to hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone powers down and the apple logo comes up. This should removed all of the emails that you cannot delete or emails where there is no message content. Be sure to hold both buttons until you see the apple logo reappear... don't let go until then.
FYI the date of 12/31/1969 at 1900 hours is the zero time for all UNIX based systems. This was the start of the UNIX era.
Therefore if you see 12/31/69 as the date, it is more than certain that the date field cotains binary zero so the message is seriously malformed.

You are the bomb. This worked perfectly. Thank you SO much!
