I cannot delete a horizontal line in Word 2008 on one page of a brief I have to file tomorrow.

This is an emergency. A horizontal line appeared on the bottom of page 9 of a 40 page document and I have tried everything to remove it - using borders and shading, selecting "none," and the line will not go away! Please help me!

MacBookPro, Mac OS X (10.5.1)

Hi r,

I shut off all the automatic crap in Word, so I'm not familiar with a lot of features/commands. What I would try is copy and paste everything above that point into a new doc, then everything below it.
