very slow appstore

When first starting app-store app., the spinning color ball remains spinning for several minutes before the app shows anything, and switching between highlights and categories and such, the sinning color ball again spins away for minutes.

I have repaired permissions,

repaired HD with booting from DVD,

restarted in "safe mode" by holding down the shift key.

None of this worked, my app-store app. is still running so slow that it is unusable.😕

This all happened after the last OS X update.

Any idea's ??

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), 4 Gig. RAM

This has also been happening to me and only started happening recently.

From my observations, it is not due to anything local but rather App Store seems to be causing downloading several tens of megabytes of stuff from Apple web sites (developer.apple.com, among others) and also seems to involve the program ocspd.

Apple, we await a fix from you....
