If you have your mp3 music in iTunes and want to make other versions, do this: (if you have the latest iTunes):

1. Choose Edit > Preferences, click General, and click Import Settings.
2. Choose the format you want to convert songs to, and click OK to save the settings.
3. Select one or more songs in your library and choose File > Convert > Create [format] Version. (mine's set to MP3, but there's other versions)

What is the sample rate and sample size of the mp3 file? iTunes will generally expect sample rates of up to 48kHz with 16-bit samples. Some music download sites on the internet may supply files with higher values, e.g. 96kHz/24-bit.

You don't need to convert anytrhing. The iPhone and iTunes will play MP3 files just fine.

When I tried to add mp3, An error occurred that it cannot be added because it cannot be played on iphone. mp3 format was not corrupted.

Can you help me for that?
