I was at an Apple store and one of the employees said that I could make speaker calls by docking the iphone 4 and connecting external speakers to the dock. Anybody figure this out? I tried it out but only music comes out of the external speakers and calls just go through the phone as usual and not through the external speakers.

I have also tried this and have not gotten it to work. I do not think this is one of the features the Apple Universal Dock includes. Sorry. Also, the person in the apple store must have thought you meant if you could use the speaker on the iPhone to make phone calls while it is docked.
well thats a bust since thats the main reason I was looking into this dock in the first place. and i made it very clear and asked like three times in different ways about the speaker call function just in case she might've interpretted in the way you mentioned...this is a bummer lol
