Can't share Protected MPEG-4 video files

I have been keeping all my music on a MAC mini and sharing the library with my other computers on my home network. Now that you can get video, I was going to do the same with it. I bought some episodes of a tv show and put them on the MAC mini thinking that I could share it with my PC running Windows XP (it has a projector on it). I setup a smart list with (Kind=="Protected MPEG-4 video file"). The smart list works on the MAC, but on the PC nothing shows up. The list is empty on the PC. I already had another smart list with (Kind=="Protected AAC audio file") that lists all my purchased music. That list shows up fine on the PC. To get it to work on the PC, I had to track down the location of the video on the MAC and copy the files to the PC. Then I had to add the video files to the PC's library and re-authorize my PC for the video files. In any case, the "shared" video smartlist is still empty from the MAC, but I can play the video files on the PC now.

I'm guessing that this is a BUG instead of a feature? It would be nice to be able to share video just like I share audio files across my home network to my other machines so I can play audio and video in other places than my one mac with a big hard drive. Anyone else run into this?

You're kiddding! That is bogus! The online help doesn't say that. It specifically calls out Audible content ... no mention of purchased videos!

Why do you say that, is it said somewhere else, for instance when a video is purchased?

About shared music
If your computer is connected to any other computers over a local network (and in the same subnet), and you are using iTunes 4.5 or later, you can share the music in your library and playlists with up to five of those computers. You choose the items you share in the Sharing pane of iTunes preferences.
You can also set your iTunes preferences to look for shared music. Once you do, any shared music that's available on your network appears in your iTunes Source list.
When you play a shared song, it's streamed over the network to your computer. You can listen to it, but you can't add it to your library or playlists, copy it to an iPod, or burn it on a CD. You can tell if a song is shared by selecting the song and choosing File > Get Info. If the Kind is "remote" (in the Summary pane), it's a shared file.
You can share spoken word content that you purchase from the iTunes Music Store, but you can't share Audible spoken word content downloaded from Audible.com, or QuickTime sound files. Sharing is intended for personal use only.
Note: If any shared music was purchased from the iTunes Music Store, you can only authorize five computers to play those music purchases.
You can also share a playlist with friends by publishing it as an iMix on the iTunes Music Store. Visitors to the Music Store will be able to see the songs listed in your playlist and play a song preview for any track in your playlist that's also available on the iTunes Music Store.
For instructions on sharing music or publishing playlists, search help for "sharing" or "publishing."

Katrina, I am appealing to your obvious genius when dealing with all things Ipod and Itunes, if you could please help me in anyway I will fly out to Kansas and well... not sure what I would do, do whatever is considered nice out there in Kansas, but in the meantime....Do you know why I am getting a message that says the disc I am trying to use is full and no more songs can be added to my library? I have about 230 songs on my ipod already (2g 500 song) only half full.. so I know they are referring to my computer, but my c drive shows PLENTY of free space available? I ordered and PAID for a album the other day but only 2 songs could fit, I NEED to figure out why it is saying my disc is full... I am certain it is installed to the c drive, any suggestions??
