play/pause button does not work

If your battery is fully charged, call iPod tech support if still under your one year warranty, call Apple Care if you purchased same or take the iPod Nano to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you. You could be experiencing a hardware problem.

The button may be stuck, so you may have to go into the apple store to fix it if that happens. If it is not stuck, and what cmcsk said doesn't work, i recommend going to the apple store and asking the experts.

But what happens if you live no where near an Apple store? And when I go to the tutorials, 5th gen iPod Nano doesn't come up!
