my purchased music from itunes disappeared
my purchased music from itunes disappeared and it's not backed up on my comp. Is there any way to retrieve purchased downloads from an account or do I need to purchase again?

You may be able to download them again if authorized by the iTunes Store Support. No guarantee that you will be able to but the effort is well worth it.

Choose the category of Music Purchases and then the sub category of Lost Or Missing Items.
Follow the articles on the side and if that does not help you then click the Email Us button and email the iTunes Store Support.
Do you happen to have it on an iPod or similar device? You can transfer purchased content back from that. Unpurchased transfers cannot be sync'd back via iTunes though.
thanks, I'll try the link. I purchased the music using my ipod and then tried to sync it with my computer and thats when it disappeared. My account shows that I purchased the songs....but they are gone.
