Disable mac mail from only replying with the selected text

Open Mail preferences, click on the Composing icon in the toolbar. Configure in the dialog.

Yep this was irritating me too. I need to highlight text while reading long emails so I don't lose my place. Then when I press reply the original message hardly has anything in it.
