So I know that Verizon Wireless and Us Cellular use the same network, CDMA, And I am currently using Us Cellular, I was wondering if I bought an iPhone 4 for the Verizon network it I could activate it on the Us Cellular network, that way I wouldn't have to switch over networks? If you could help me that would be great
Since US Cellular must do the activation over the air for CDMA phones on their network, why don't you call US Cellular and ask them if they will do so. More than likely they will tell you no and you can ask them why not.
I think I remember Allan stating in a different thread that CDMA iPhones are not locked, but not unlocked either? Something amongst those lines.
Anyways, I don't think the phone would work because of the band spectrum. The iPhone (CDMA) uses 900 and 1800MHz bands.

They will work ONLY on AT&T for GSM phone and ONLY on Verizon for CDMA phones.
