3gs phone - went to itunes screen said in recovery mode - when tried to restore keep receiving error 1013; i have tried on two computers, different usb cables, itunes, operating system and security are all updated. unable to do anything on the phone - help!! keep trying all the solutions on the site but no luck.

If your hosts file redirects requests to gs.apple.com, you may choose to follow Can't connect to the iTunes Store, in the "The 'hosts' file may be blocking the iTunes Store" section.
I've already been on the support site and to the mentioned link. I don't understand how to adjust the host file. Do you know how to do this?
