My iPod touch with the Facetime and camera, etc. that I just recieved TODAY, won't play music off the docking station.
It will connect, charge and combine the volumes and such. But the music just plays off the iPod and not the speakers.
I don't know if it is the iPod or dock. Help!

I know this is an older post, but I just had the exact same problem and was able to fix it by resetting my ipod. (Holding down the two buttons at the same time) I've had my ipod touch 4G for 6 months and didn't have a problem with it until today. I knew it wasn't the dock (Onkyo) because I put my older nano on it and it worked just fine. After doing plenty of research, I figured out it was a software issue acting as a hardware issue. We had this problem after updating the itunes software. Try resetting your ipod by holding the top power button and the lower center home button at the same time until the apple sign appears on the screen. After the reset, our ipod worked on the dock speakers again.
