Just got my macbook air...sorry dont know what version 😐?? (how do I find that out?) and was taking some pictures in photo booth and it is so grainy I had pictures in my photo booth from my macbook 13" which is around 7 years old photo booth pics from there are clearer then the macbook air...I have been trying to find some info but none? Should I bring to apple store do something??? anything feedback is thankful!

Hi there. I have the latest 11.6" model and I have the same issue with Photo Booth. I don't think it's the camera though, if I use Skype or iChat I get a much better image. On the whole though, it is a lower quality camera than to in other Apple machines, possibly because there's such a small space for it to fit in.
To find out what model your machine is, just look underneath it. Mine is A1370.

Unfortunately, Photo Booth's picture quality really is lacking, even on the latest Macbook Pro laptops.
Do not believe that! I work for a University and just today I went to see the floor models at the computer store I looked at the same MACBOOK air 13" and the photo booth qualityy picture was much sharper than my grainy one. So with that said I have had it 5 days why the heck do I have to make an appointment with Apple Genius to see the issue.these computers should be on point especially with them prices my macbook looks better then the Air nah guys I am talking about the photo booth quality! lets see what they say....
I own both air 2010 and pro 2011. Both had photo booth pictures that were lacking in quality compared to my point and click shoot digicam (canon SD1300).
I am not looking for picture quality of a camera but I am also not taking it as is...if I know I have seen the picture quality of the same machine better then the one I have taken with my air! I am determined to compare it at their store and ask them why theres look like that (better) and mine looks poor....
