Jun 14, 2011 12:23 PM in response to mrdanangby Valderion,Just want to say that I had this exact problem with 4.2... software, and just upgraded to 4.3.3 and the problem is still there.
I also tried finding a "corner" of the button that works everytime, but it does't seem to matter, once the phone has decided not to respond to my wishes. So I'm not sure it really has anything to do with the sensor. I may however be proven wrong on this point.
I find it very annoying that the worlds leading manufacturer of smart-phones (the inventor!!) can't make their home-button work properly, whatever the problem may be.

Jun 27, 2011 1:54 PM in response to golferkyby ktoll119,My home button works only intermittently which is annoying but makes me worried I'll have a hard time proving it to the Genius Bar. Was yours 100% not working? If not, did it take some degree of pleading your case to get it replaced?
I don't know if this is related but my iPhone has been just turning itself off occasionally, and doesn't immediately respond to my attempts to turn it back on. Has anyone had any issues like this?

Jun 29, 2011 5:19 PM in response to mrdanangby Y3SJ3SS,I've also been having the same issue. It only started once I downloaded the newest update (4.3). Sometimes the button will work first try, other times it takes between 3-7 clicks to get it to work.

Jul 1, 2011 12:56 PM in response to mrdanangby applegrant,This happen to me and I fixed it by gently slapping the phone on the back a few times.
