spinning wheel

Three week old iPad2 locked with spinning wheel for last twelve hours. Unable to power off iPad no matter how long the power button is held. When connected to computer iTunes does not recognize the iPad and gives error 0xE8000065. Emptied the /var/db/lockdown folder and still unable to stop the spinning wheel. What next?

iPad 2, iOS 4.3.2

Have you tried a reset (as opposed to simply turning it off)?


Hold the on/off button and the Home button down simultaneously until it shuts down completely. Then turn it back on.
