Is this a new MBP? Do you have any kind of warranty? 1000 USD is a lot of money, to me anyway. There is Apple supportfor Brazil. Give that a try. Good luck!

And if the machine is one with the 8600M graphics card, remind them Apple had an exchange/repair program on that card. That was a very common problem with that graphics card.
Thank you all for trying to help, yes my MBP is a brand new one, yes I have warranty, tough the apple support store in my country says that the problem is not ensured by warranty, acutually I don't know why, I was seeing a video them the display went black. just that.

It's brand new and they won't support it? That doesn't sound right. Hopefully Brody will jump back in with some more info. Sounds strange. sorry to hear that.

I am really upset, in my country a MBP is realllyyy expensive, because of the taxes we pay it costs about US$ 3.000, and they wanna 1000 for repairing, **** it, I will try another apple support.

Ouça, você deve pegar o computador de volta e levá-la a uma Apple Store. É muitoprovável que o seu MacBook é coberto pelo AppleCare.
Como sugerido acima, ligue para o suporte da Apple Brasil e encontra mais próximoda Apple Store.
Acabei de receber um e-mail da autorizada apple, dizendo que esta queimada a tal da PLACA LOGICA (Logic board), e que nao esta coberto por garantia por causa de suspeita de inserçao de liquido na maquina, absurdo, cuido da maquina como se fosse meu filho, nao derrubei nada na maquina.......e agora o que eu faço?????
Call 0800-761-0880. If you are under under the one year warranty, the hardware is covered for manufacturer defect. Insist that you get to speak to customer relations if you get the runaround, and keep a case number until you get to speak to someone directly who will hear your case. As long as you can prove it is a defect, and not a user caused damage, and can do so calmly, you have a good fighting start.

Você deve contatar o suporte da Apple, por telefone: 0800-761-0880. UmRevendedor Autorizado NÃO É o mesmo que a Apple. Acho que você está em uma situação difícil. Eu tinha um MacBook Pro com um problema semelhante e eu tenhoum bilhete de reparo de suporte da Apple por telefone e, em seguida, levou-a parauma Apple Store e fixaram-lo, sem perguntas. Eu tinha um MacBook Pro com a nVidia ea tela parou. Não consigo encontrar uma Apple Store no Brasil, parece quevocê só tem Revendedores Autorizados. ¿Existe uma outra loja da Apple para o qualvocê pode pegar o computador depois de falar com o suporte da Apple?
