Can I buy an iPad 2, online, but to a different country rather than the US only?

Hi.

I am not American, (Maltese, if you care) and I am highly considering an iPad 2. One problem. Here in Malta, the prices for the iPad 2 are like $300 higher than that stated on the Apple website. Do Apple offer an overseas delivery (I am ready to pay any shpping charge) as I did an 'order' (step up the steps, see where you got to - 'fake' order) and the word United States is unchangable. Does that mean that Apple can't sent any units to Malta? Are forwarders the only option left for me?

Malta is a country, yes. Its European. Important - In Malta they sell iPad 2, but much higer in price.
