Can someone PLEASE help me as I am furious that I have rented 3 movies via Apple TV (not my computer) and when I try to play them, a message comes up that says "AN ERROR OCCURED LOADING THIS CONTENT, TRY AGAIN LATER". 'Later' is now month!

Well, that was REALLY helpful!

well you feel ripped off so i told you how to see about getting refund.

are you really looking for help or are you merely using this forum to blow steam ?

this is just a user-to-user support forum, so there is no-one here that can assist in you getting refunds.

apple support may also be able to tell you why you get that error, it's possible there is an issue with the itunes store.

I m having the same **** problem. This is frustrating and apple support *****! I have tried resetting my apple tv, but nothing. I am now resorting to downloading movies via itunes on my pc then through the apple tv and my shared library pulling it to my apple tv downstairs thru wi-fi. Ridiculous. I am just about to give up on MAC and go back to a PC

Well thank-you, it is nice to know that someone else has the same problem, (not that i wish it upon you!) ...rather than the unhelpful and sarcastic comments from other so called 'helpers'. The above person has obviously not been through the stress and frustration that we have!

I have started to do the same as you, rent them through my MAC and then play them on the TV, as renting through A.T.V just will not happen for me, i've unplugged, downloaded, reset, re-everything, and i STILL am getting this nuisane ERROR code. My A.T.V is less than 6 months old, but there is no help or answers for this problem. I have probably only used the **** thing 5 times anyway.

I can see that you are just as fed-up as i am, it is totally unprofessional to sell something that stinks then turn your back & pretend it's not your problem. Cos that's exactly what APPLE MAC are doing.

Thanks for your support. x

Until last night everything was working fine on my apple TV 2nd. I was watching a TV episode on Netflix and when I went to the next episode the message "An error occured loading this document". I figure my wireless was down or something. So I checked my wireless and also checked all other obtions on Apple TV and everything was fine. The only problem was Netflix. I checked my Netflix account and it said everything was fine. Yet, still unable to play anything from Netflix via my apple TV. Has any one found a solution?. I have reset my A.T.V and re-loged back into to Netflix and still the same message.

See About renting movies from the iTunes Store - Apple Support. I suspect one of the following applies:

  • If you rented the movie on your computer, but want to watch it on an iOS device, connect the devices and sync using USB. When you move a rented movie from your computer, it will disappear from your computer’s iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as often as you want, but you can only have it on one device at a time.
  • If you rented the movie on your iOS device or Apple TV, you can’t move it to any other device.
  • Movies you rent disappear from your iTunes library when the rental period ends
