I have a Mac G5 10.3.9 how do i get a newer browser?

I have a Mac G5 10.3.9 and need an updated web browser but all the latest browsers call for 10.4 or better. Is there any way to get a newer browser for my old computer? do I have to throw this one away and buy a newer mac?

IMAC G5, Mac OS X (10.3.x), 512 MB DDR SDRAM

Your 10.3.9 will also run Camino 1.6.11. But no longer supported. Don't think iCab (4.8) has been updated in quite a while either. If you want a safe browser, you need to update to Tiger and then you can run Firefox 3.6, which will still be updated for a bit longer. Even in Tiger the options are fast disappearing for PPC Macs. But there is TenFourFox, which will allow you to run Firefox 4, which is the latest version -- still needs Tiger, though.

Restore Tiger 10.4 & Leopard 10.5 DVDs are available from Apple by calling 800-767-2775 as of January 20, 2013. Collect your Mac's serial number. Prepare you credit card for a workout. There is a reasonable fee.
