The .fseventsd is the file system events storage location.
Since it writes file system event log files and since applications such as Time Machine use it, I would not stop its process.

Many thanks. It was just that my laptop was running real hot and it seemed to be down to the fact that 'fseventsd' was using up to 100 percent cpu activity. When I rebooted the computer it cooled down and 'fseventsd' kind of disappeared from the activity and all is well.
