I notice you don't list an "iTunes Library" without any extension. That's what you should have on a Mac. This file is a database of the songs in your library and the playlists you've created. It correlates to the iTunes library.itl file from your PC. This article explains: What are iTunes library files, http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1660
I'll leave it up to you about what you want to do. I would start over using the Macworld article.
