I can't restore my 2gen IPod Touch

I just got my 2nd gen touch back from repair and now I can't recover it. I have put it into recovery mode, I have tried doing it without doing that. I'm at a loss I don't know what else to do. In Itunes it downloads the update then goes to accessing software then I get unknown error 9006, does anyone have any ideas, I just want to restore my ipod, i've missed it
