Can anyone tell me how to get the general import burn window to show up from itunes preferance -advanced instead of itunes media folder location

Not sure exactly what you are looking for. To find the Burn Options, select a playlist and either right-click and select Burn playlist to disc or use the iTunes File menu > Burn Playlist to disc. Then, your burn options dialog box will appear.

If you want the import options, look in iTunes > Preferences > General and click the "Import Settings" button.

The way Jim describes is the correct way. Both burning and importing preferences were in the Advanced menus until about iTunes 8. They haven't been there for years, but there are still some references to the old way.

ari from nyc, I looked at that video around 3:42, and they are definitely using a much older version of iTunes. Those preferences have not been in the Advanced tab for years. Since you are using 9.x, you can find the importing and burning preferences each in their new positions, as described above by Jim.

I watched the video and I know what you want. i'm using iTunes 10.2.2 and I can't install 9.2.1 to check. However, think that the instructions I gave you are also valid for iTunes 9.2.1.
