You should take a look at them, many people have gone to a lot of trouble to make it simple for people that are Environment impaired. Many times it takes just a copy/paste and a drag of a cable and you're ready to go. They have nice GUI's and sufficient instructions. I'm sure you spend a lot of time in the Environment since it is where so much of the GUI is. The Environment is really what makes Logic so much more powerful than other sequencers... Don't be afraid 😉

Why not use UltraBeat? That's what it was designed for:

- auto-synchronized 32-step sequencer
- adjustable resolution, swing parameter, and more
- 25 simultaneous sequences per pattern
- 24 patterns you can chain in any order
- drives its dedicated instruments, including 16-layer samples and physical modeling
- loads factory or custom kits

That's already an impressing list of features... What else could you ask for?

Ah, yes: you can drag patterns to midi regions, and use them to control any other instrument.

UltraBeat is hard to beat - no pun intended...

Logic's facilities doesnt fail me in any way.
But theres some useful plugins for the windows platform that are great.
Then again i have found a plugin that simulates what I was looking for, not the way i expected but is definitely close.

Check it out:

Thanks for the reply guys... this place still the best.

camel space rox! i use it in almost every track. there are a couple of bugs with logic however:

1. when using midi controller to automate camelspace via logic's 'learn' function, it gets unstable.

2. when using camelspace 'midi learn' feature to automate in logic, the settings are not stored with the song; next time you load your song and expect the midi automation to make knobs move, they don't !

it's still very useable, and you can workaround those bugs.
